38 Weeks
Update: 70% effaced and 1 centimeter dilated. Hopefully I will continue to progress and have this little guy very soon. I am officially pretty desperate to get him out. Come on Carter!

37 weeks
Just got back from the doctors. Carter is head down and I am 50% effaced! I know that it doesn't mean much... but it gives me a little hope that he will come out soon.

Carter's bedding I just ordered. I decided to get it (I finally made myself decide on one) bc it's called schoolbook so it was perfect being that Carter is going to be a Professor's son. I thought that it was really cute. : )

Lemon Fish Burps
From the moment you find yourself "with child" you should begin taking prenatal vitamins. There are tons to choose from. Your doctor might give you a samples of many to try to see which ones you like. You can also just go to Walmart. They don't vary that much. Sometimes it simply comes down to which one you can keep down. These days you don't only take a prenatal... but you can take an omega 3 supplement to help brain and eye development. How great to be able to help your baby grow big and strong. Maybe even a little smarter eh? This is all fine and good but what they don't tell you is that this is not for the weak stomached. First of all... the omega 3 is from fish. So, the pill smells like gross fish crotch or something equally disgusting. Not something you want to swallow. To help us be able to "stomach" taking this, they put lemon flavoring in with the fish oil. A nice thought, but if you haven't actually eaten a fish garnished with lemon... burping it up all day is a little disconcerting. Sometimes you have to burp and then run like hell away from it. Smells still really bother me and it's hard to deal with it when I am the thing smelling so bad. It's just not a good combo. This stuff is so potent... there is no covering it up with food. That baby will make it through whatever you throw at it. So raise your glasses all you omega 3 popping moms... here's to 9 or more months of lemon fish burps!
